What are Hard Water spots?


Water spots are typically created when water that's left over on your exterior evaporates on your cars paint and it leaves behind contamination causing it to leave a ugly mark and also being a headache to remove!


It's important to note that all forms of water contain minerals and chemicals and it's within those chemicals that these water spots are created.


Contamination is either from trace minerals, dirt or chemicals.


How to Fix the Issue



So there are tons of methods and products out there that can help you remove the water spots. But before we talk about the paint I want to address your chrome trim.


The reason for addressing this is because it's easily overlooked. Your chrome is what gives your car a nice shine, it completes the car. Hard water spots will only be getting in the way of that, so what should we do?


The water spots need to removed and a product that we use and that works really well is Eraser by 3D. We've tested this product before and the results are phenomenal for your chrome trim, especially if you have water stains.


To take care of your paints hard water spots, we recommend trying a bottle of part water and part white vinegar. This will break down the chemical and dirt that created these spots on your car.


Let the vinegar sit for about 10-15 minutes and then proceed to wiping off with a soft microfiber towel.


Taking things a little further, we do suggest just going all out and tackling the problem with everything you got so we know for sure it's not going to be a lingering issue in the future.


Properly cleaning, and polishing your paint job will drastically add protection to your car. Those water spots that were annoying and so frustrating to get off, about 85-90% of those are completely gone.


Most importantly now your vehicle is protected from the polishing.
